The name of Tirumangai Alwar’s horse is Aadalma. It is said that Tirumangai went on his visits to various temples riding the faithful Aadalma.

Periya Thirumozhi – The Sixtieth Set of Ten
1538. Recite & offer prayers to the Lord’s name – Narayana who slumbers in Kudanthai (Kumbakonam), who, as Varaha, rescued the earth by piercing it with his tusks, who destroyed the fortress of Lanka and who measured the three worlds.
1539. Recite & offer prayers to the Lord’s name – Narayana who entered the lotus strewn waters to dance on the hood of the poisonous Kaliya, whose feet are holy and who measured the three worlds with his footsteps.
1540. The name of the Lord who broke the tusks of the maddened elephant, who churned nectar from the ocean, who holds Shri (Lakshmi) in his chest, who stole the curds that belonged to Yashoda – whose tresses are so fragrant that bees buzz around; is Narayana.
1541. The name of the Lord who resides as Tirupaadakathaan (Pandava Dhoota Perumal Koil) within the stone walls of Kanchi, who felled the mighty Ravana with his arrow and who fulfilled the desires of Vibhishana; is Narayana.
1542. The name of the Lord who lifted the Govardhana mountain to protect the herd of cows, who subdued the seven fiery bulls, who stands in Tirukovilur (Ulagalandha Perumal), who defeated the asura hordes of Lanka & thereby caused Yama to feast on their souls; is Narayana.
1543. Recite the name of the Lord Narayana, who assembled an army of monkeys & bears, who humiliated the wicked Asuras of Lanka and who is as sweet as honey, milk & nectar.
1544. Listen carefully as I chant the name of the Lord Narayana who created the mountains, the oceans, the directions & this very world and who lifted the mountain (Govardhana) as an umbrella.
1545. The name of the Lord who lifted the mountain to rescue the cowherds and their cows who were drenched from a hail-storm that seemed to darken the skies; is Narayana.
1546. To escape from evil, recite the name of the Lord Narayana, who is the worshipped by Shri Devi, Bhu Devi, Brahma, Shiva, Indira & all the other celestials and who is the first among all.
1547. These verses about the Lord of Tirunaraiyur (Nachiyar Koil near Kumbakonam) by the banks of abundant waters of the river Cauvery carry precious stones & pearls; have been composed by TIrumangai – the lover of fish-eyed lasses. Those who recite these verses will escape the clutches of evil deeds.
